Snapshot Summary
This card gets you points for paying RENT! That’s right, it’s one of the only cards that can do this so if you have a hefty Rent payment, make sure to grab this card to get rewarded on one of the biggest expenses many people have.
The Full Picture

The Bilt Mastercard is one of the most interesting cards to launch in recent years, purely because of one unique feature: you can earn points by paying rent. That’s a game-changer if you live in a major city or have a big monthly rent payment, and it means you can finally get rewarded for what’s usually your biggest monthly expense.

Beyond rent, the card offers 3x points on dining, 2x on travel, and 1x on everything else, all with no annual fee. That’s a pretty well-rounded earning structure for a $0 card. You also get access to the Bilt Rewards program, which has a surprisingly good list of transfer partners (including American Airlines, Hyatt, and more), so you’re not locked into weak redemption options. As long as you make at least five purchases per statement period, you’ll earn points on rent (up to 100,000 points per year…)

There’s no welcome bonus right now, which is a bit of a shame, but if you’re someone who rents and wants to start playing the points game in a smart, fee-free way, this is one of the best tools out there. I wouldn’t make it my only card, but it’s definitely earned a place in my rotation just for how much it unlocks from money I was already spending.
