Snapshot Summary
This is the winner of the category simply because it offers 3% cash back on dining, entertainment, and groceries - all for a $0 annual fee. You also get 1% back on everything else. Solid.
The Full Picture

The Capital One Savor card has recently become one of my favorite cards to recommend to people for everyday spending.

It offers 3% cash back on dining, entertainment, and groceries - all for a $0 annual fee. You also get 1% back on everything else. There are no rotating categories to track, no annual spending caps to worry about, and no annual fee to have to justify.

So if most of your spend goes toward dining, groceries, and entertainment - this is almost like a junior American Express Gold card.

Overall, it's a great starter card or everyday workhorse for people who want something simple and reliable. Just don't expect it to be your only card if you want to maximize rewards across all spending categories.

If you want to get into the credit card game with 0 annual fee, then this is a lovely card because you also get a $200 welcome bonus after spending just $500 in the first 3 months.
